Governor Padaca has won numerous national awards including NGOs’ “Woman of the Year” in 2004 , “Best Anchorperson” from Bombo Radyo in 1993 along with a nomination for “Disabled Filipina of the Year” in 1998. She is one individual who has not let obstacles such as a physical disability or having to fight against entrenched interests deter her from pursuing her goals.
