New York, NY, October 20, 2007 – The Philippine-American Chamber of Commerce, one of the oldest bilateral business organizations in the U.S., today renewed its support for the Philippines and its faith in the Filipino people in the face of yesterday’s Glorietta blast.

“We believe in the Philippines and its future, we believe in the strength of its economy and, most of all, we believe in the capability, fortitude and goodness of the Filipino people. We call on the business community in the Philippines and the U.S. to continue to invest in the country and provide jobs. Whoever is responsible for the bombing, we cannot allow these terrorists to defeat us. New York, NY, October 10, 2007 — Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo hailed the giant strides made by the Philippine outsourcing industry, telling an audience of 300 American business executives recently that the Philippines is now a strong number two to India in outsourcing preferences. The President made her remarks at a dinner hosted by the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with Trade and Industry Secretary Peter Favila and the Business Process Outsourcing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) at New York’s Waldorf Astoria hotel.
