The Philippines is the top choice among a growing number of major U.S. companies for finance, technology, telecommunications and consumer products, and accounting business process outsourcing (BPO) services. Consul General Rebong of the Philippine Consulate said this was essentially the message of Ms. Cynthia Houlton, Senior Analyst of the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Capital Markets, as the latter spoke during the cocktail mixer and executive panel discussion on “Delivering Excellent Financial and Accounting Services in the Philippines”. It was a well-attended event organized by The BPO Council, the Philippine Consulate General, the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in New York, The Philippine-American Chamber of Commerce (PACC) and sponsored by RBC Capital Markets on May 23, 2007.
